Police in KwaZulu Natal, South Africa, have found a body they believe might be Evans Katumba, a businessman from Zimbabwe who went missing in Durban last month.
Katumba was taken by armed people from his Nightspot on March 22, 2024.
They demanded a ransom of R2.5 million for his release.
His family managed to get R1.5 million, but Katumba was not let go, causing worry for his family and friends.
The body was found in Hammersdale, a town near Durban, with two gunshot wounds. It was discovered six days ago, but it was hard to identify because it was decomposed.
The family is waiting for DNA tests to confirm if it’s Katumba, but the clothes found on the body match what Katumba was wearing when he was taken.
