Hollywood actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish recently embarked on a shopping spree at Mudiwa Hood’s boutique in Harare over the weekend.
Haddish is in Zimbabwe to film her latest movie.
“Guess who just showed up at MH Luxury Boutique and bought the MH brand. Sweet and humble celebrity, Tiffany Haddish, all the way from Hollywood, USA!” Hood posted on his Facebook page.
The gospel rapper and entrepreneur shared pictures of the two on social media, stating that he and Haddish exchanged business insights during her visit. Later, Hood took to X to share his thoughts on the encounter, praising Haddish’s business acumen and highlighting the potential benefits of their newfound friendship.
“Knowing Tiffany personally is like gaining access to Hollywood, captains of industries, celebrities, and the who’s who of the world. I was so impressed by her business acumen. She is sharp! I also have a lot to learn and benefit from our friendship. Just a little advice: not every beauty God sends your way is food; some are bridges to new heights in life. Use wisdom and secure the bag first. With the bag, you will always be relevant. That’s just my 2 cents,” Hood posted.
During her stay, Haddish visited Victoria Falls, posting several photos of herself at the iconic location. She also enjoyed Harare’s nightlife, partying at the popular nightclub Pabloz.
However, Haddish’s visit was not without controversy. In a video taken at a supermarket in Harare, Haddish expressed surprise that Zimbabwe had a ‘grocery store,’ a comment that sparked outrage across Africa. After receiving widespread criticism, Haddish defended herself, blaming the media for consistently portraying Africa negatively.
Haddish’s visit to Zimbabwe, marked by both admiration and controversy, continues to generate discussion and interest in the nation.
