The Zimbabwe Republic Police(ZRP) in Matebeleland has arrested six suspects for the murder of a livestock theft suspect.
In a statement on their X page, the police said, “The suspects took turns to assault the victim Soza Dube (54) with switches all over the body after accusing him of stealing a goat belonging to Qiniso Ncube. The victim was found dead in a bedroom hut on 24/08/24.”
The six suspects are Qiniso Ncube (38), Honest Sola, Justin Nkomo (60), Malcom Sichelo Nube (24), Mayibongwe Nyathi (27), Lyton Ncube (28) and Mulu Nyathi (20).
If the six are found guilty in the court of law Section 47(4) of the Criminal Law they could be facing at least twenty years to life imprisonment each.
