The Zimbabwe Hip-Hop awards (ZHHA) are making their return for the 14th edition which is scheduled to take place in December 2024.
While the exact date is still under wraps, ZHHA organizers have revealed that the awards will be both conventional and virtual.
ZHHA also made an announcement on how they are now working in collaboration with House of Arts Association, who will now be responsible for the curation and management of the brand going onwards.
In a statement by ZHHA, they highlighted that as the leading authority of Zimbabwe Hip Hop culture, it is their mandated to empower the young and musically talented youths.
“As the leading authority of Zimbabwe Hip Hop culture and Africa’s first and prestigious hip hop awards, our mission is to use elements of popular youth culture and media to inspire, motivate and empower the music of young people by acknowledging and celebrating local artists in their respective genres.
“We continue to grow as we are get more regional and international recognition from various media houses and artists” read the statement.
The ZHHA community also said that they have added on a new category- spoken word which will cater for poets who thrive under that category.
