Former ZANU PF Chegutu West member of parliament, Dexter Nduna, has been remanded in custody for fraud.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Nduna collected parking fees from two motorists purporting to represent the Municipality of Chegutu.

“Allegations are that sometime this month the accused person misrepresented to two motorists that he was collecting parking fees on behalf of the Municipality of Chegutu. A police report was made leading to his arrest,” said the NPA.
Last week Nduna attempted to seize parking management in Harare from City Parking (Private) Limited.
He later admitted that he had not performed the necessary due diligence before announcing that Team Chapter would take over parking management in Harare starting October 7.
During the same week, Nduna issued a public apology to President Emmerson Mnangagwa for attending the University of Zimbabwe graduation ceremony the previous month when he was not a part of the graduates.
Nduna, who was pursuing a Bachelor of Substantive Laws degree, attended the graduation ceremony, fully clothed with the graduation attire. However, the university later revealed that, the former legislator had failed three courses.
Nduna will appear at the Chegutu Magistrates’ Court tomorrow for his bail ruling.
