Zimbabwean businessman and philanthropist Sir Wicknell Chivayo has once again made headlines after gifting popular socialite and ZANU PF supporter, DJ Towers (real name Tawanda Timothy Marimbe), a brand-new vehicle and a large sum of cash.
In a lengthy post on his social media, Sir Wicknell praised DJ Towers for his “unapologetic loyalty” to the ruling party, ZANU PF, saying loyalty is often undervalued but ultimately rewarding.
“At times riya rinonzi nevanhu dzungu rinobhadhara,” he wrote. “Loyalty is more valuable than friendship and more powerful than respect, because when everything else fades away, only loyalty remains standing.”
Chivayo emphasized that in a world “full of opportunists, loyalty has become a rare and misunderstood concept.” He added:
“Some call it foolishness, others call it obsession but the truth is, only the brave remain loyal even when it is said to be unpopular. Loyalty is all you need to change your destiny.”

He went on to describe DJ Towers as a young Zimbabwean who has consistently shown fearless dedication to ZANU PF despite public ridicule.
“There is one young Zimbabwean who has demonstrated unapologetic loyalty to the revolutionary mass Party, ZANU PF, to unprecedented levels. He has been called names, mocked on social media and even accused of being a lunatic. This young man has however continued to shout ‘ED Pfee,’ dance, achizvizora dovi, proudly declaring his love for ZANU PF without fear of criticism,” Chivayo said.
The flamboyant businessman added that Towers had “turned ridicule into relevance” and deserved recognition for his patriotism.
“It is very sad that he has not been given the appropriate recognition for his undying support and loyalty to the ruling Party. Today, I wish to reward Mr Tawanda Timothy Marimbe aka DJ Towers for a different and unique kind of patriotism and loyalty. At times ka dzungu kanobhadhara shuwa.”
As part of the gift, Chivayo revealed that Towers will be collecting a brand-new 2025 Toyota Fortuner 4X4 2.8 GD6 from Exquisite Car Dealership, which he said is “fully paid for and ready for collection.”
In addition, DJ Towers will also walk away with US$50,000 in cash. “Uzore honey muviri wese, nekuti ED huchiii baba,” Chivayo quipped, in his trademark humorous tone.
The latest gift adds to a growing list of high-profile donations by Sir Wicknell, who has become known for rewarding loyalty and support to both individuals and institutions.
