Dendera musician Sulumani Chimbetu has said preparations for his upcoming tours are at an advanced stage.
Chimbetu and the Orchestra Dendera Kings, are set to begin a major tour across Zimbabwe, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
The tour starts tomorrow, July 12, and runs through August 4. They will first perform at four venues in Zimbabwe before heading to the UK for the Zimfest UK event. After the UK, they will perform at three venues in South Africa.
In an interview with The Ollah 7 News, Chimbetu said fans can expect an energetic and unforgettable experience. He emphasized the extensive preparations, including rehearsals and logistics planning.
“My fans can expect an energetic and unforgettable experience, featuring new music and a celebration of African culture. Preparations are underway, including intense rehearsals and logistics planning. The team is working tirelessly to ensure a top-notch performance,” said Chimbetu.
He explained that the tour aims to connect Africans with the diaspora, spreading a message of unity and love.
“The inspiration came from my desire to bridge the gap between African nations and the diaspora, sharing my music and spreading the message of unity and love,” he stated.
Chimbetu is particularly excited about performing at Zimfest UK on July 28 at Hertfordshire County Showground in St Albans, England.
