Starting July 15, 2025, YouTube is implementing significant changes to its monetization policies under the YouTube Partner Program (YPP).
This move also addresses concerns from advertisers and users about the quality and reliability of content on the platform.Creators who have been relying on Al-generated content or re-purposing existing material should take immediate steps to adapt and focus on producing unique, creative, and authentic content that showcases their voice and perspective.
Creators are also encouraged to engage with their audience through meaningful commentary, analysis, or storytelling. By doing so, you can continue to thrive on YouTube’s platform and maintain monetisation eligibility.
The platform will now require creators to produce original content featuring real voices to qualify for monetisation. This means that videos relying on Al-generated voices, reused content, or low-effort compilations will no longer be eligible for monetisation.
YouTube’s decision comes in response to the proliferation of content that lacks originality and value, often generated through Al tools with minimal human input. The platform aims to prioritise authenticity and creativity, ensuring that creators who add real value to the community are rewarded.

YouTube to pay only for real voices & original content starting July 15!
